Introducing Mini Good Home’s Hiatus Home

Mini Good Home’s Hiatus Home is part of their tiny SMART home line up, which offers homes from 16 to 44 feet long. These tiny homes usually come with a standard trailer width of about 8 to 8.5 feet, but wider options, from 10 to 12 feet, are also available.

Design and Construction

Tongue & Groove Tiny Homes custom-designed the Hiatus Home exclusively for their tiny cottage community in Bend, Oregon. Tiny SMART Home built the homes for the project, and the good news is, their model tiny home now stands complete and looks fantastic.

Exterior and Interior Highlights

Both the exterior and interior designs of the Hiatus Home stand out. Outside, there’s beautiful wood siding, while the inside is bright and airy with white walls and ceilings, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Nathan Gentle Watson’s Journey to Tiny Living

Nathan Gentle Watson, who started Tiny SMART Home back in 2012, spent many years building huge houses. For a long time, he worked on large, luxurious homes—the kind many people think of as the “American Dream.” But Nathan realized pretty quickly that this lifestyle wasn’t for him. He found that building these massive homes was complicated and often unsatisfying.

A New Vision: Simplicity and Meaning

Nathan wanted something simpler, something more meaningful. Rather than building big, extravagant homes, he decided he wanted to help people live happily, debt-free, and responsibly. Once he discovered the joy of tiny living, he never looked back. Today, Nathan is the owner, President, and CEO of Tiny SMART Home, doing exactly what he loves.
