A Luxurious Tiny House
First things first – the exterior. As soon as you approach this spectacular tiny home, the choice of colors used for the exterior will amaze you. The builders of this house decided to go bold and used blue aluminum cladding, horizontal wooden banding around the center of the house and beneath the roof line, and a bright yellow side entry door.
It is indeed a very visually appealing combination that immediately catches your attention. Also, you can notice that there are also numerous large white windows. They allow plenty of natural light to pour into the home which is key for making the space feel bright, airy, and bigger than it actually is.
Moving on to the interior, it is just as impressive as the exterior. The overall design is modern and chic, with pops of color. The entire space feels spacious thanks to the white walls, high ceilings, wooden floors, and ceiling panels in warm tones. Plus, the plants and natural textiles used add an extra touch to the design offering a relaxing and homey feel.
Now, let’s discuss each area in detail!
The Living Room
Once you enter through the bright yellow door, the cozy living area will welcome you. One step down from the side entry door you can relax on the sofa. It faces the gorgeous views out of the large glass side entry doors. Behind the sofa, there’s a ledge where you can put your plants, decorations, lamps, speakers, books, etc. The pop of color in the living room is introduced mainly through the wall art and accent rug.
The step from the door itself serves as a pretty convenient shoe storage. At the end of this step, there’s a cute little wood stove for keeping the entire home heated. Plus, the shoe storage compartments incorporated beneath the step are also ideal for storing small wood kindling. And, for those warmer days, there’s a large fan on the ceiling above the living area.
The Kitchen
The spacious U-shaped kitchen is next to the living area meaning that this unique tiny house boasts an open-plan layout. The cabinetry is in the same blue color as the exterior aluminum cladding and there are butcher block countertops. What’s most important, it has plenty of storage and all the equipment and appliances needed for prepping and cooking meals.
The kitchen peninsula features a full-size stove with a vent hood hidden by a run of short open upper cabinets ideal for storing cookbooks or glasses. The same peninsula has stools on the other side so it can be used for dining or as a desk. Left of the stove, there’s a hinged section of the countertop which you can prop up for additional prepping space. The storage space is quite generous due to the great amount of lower base cabinets and floating shelves.
Furthermore, the fridge, the washing machine, and lots of pull-out shelves are tucked away beneath the set of stairs for maximum use of space. The white deep sink has an adjustable faucet which is pretty convenient for doing dishes. And, the two windows together with the overhead fixtures keep the kitchen bright regardless of the low ceiling.
The Mudroom
What makes this tiny house special and distinctive from the other tiny house designs is the fact that it has a separate main entry and a mudroom. The mudroom is the space where you should take off your dirty shoes to keep your home free from outside dirt. It is also the place where you can hang your jackets, scarves, bags, etc. to avoid having a cluttered home.
Moreover, the mudroom in this tiny house is especially convenient and highly functional as it is positioned next to a bathroom. So, we can say that this mudroom is more than perfect. Plus, it offers great storage including open shelving, wall hooks, countertop storage, and cubby storage for all of your seasonal essentials.
The Bathroom
The bathroom is strategically positioned directly off of the mudroom. And, although compact, it offers everything you need to maintain perfect hygiene. Precisely speaking, it features a toilet, a bathroom vanity with underneath storage in the same blue color as the kitchen cabinetry and the exterior cladding, a medicine cabinet for increasing storage space, and a very chic and unique blue patterned bowl sink.
In addition, the highlight of the bathroom is the soaking tub which is rarely found in other tiny homes. There are some corner shelves for keeping your toiletries and a rectangular window for allowing plenty of natural light while maintaining privacy at the same time. What’s also important mentioning, the bathroom door is again in the same blue color as the vanity.
The Bedrooms
Last but not least, there are two sets of staircases, with drawers or open storage in each step, leading to two separate loft bedrooms located on each end of the home. The loft above the mudroom and bathroom offers built-in cubby storage for all your clothing or bedding. The bed is positioned in the corner between two large windows allowing gorgeous views. And, the ample floor space is covered with colorful rugs for adding a pop of color.
The second loft is located over the kitchen and includes a bed, a built-in wardrobe cabinet, and floating corner wall shelves which can serve for holding décor or as nightstands for keeping your essentials like glasses, wallet, phone, etc. And, again, just like in the other loft, there’s a built-in cubby storage for keeping your belongings organized. Finally, this loft bedroom is ideal for sky-watching and star gazing as it includes a skylight in the ceiling.
